If you have children aged 2–7, I can wholeheartedly recommend this newly published book. We get a girl version of Noddy, a funny dog with an incredible nose (hats off to the creators for its texture) and magic glasses. I had to read it before giving it away (a present for my three-year-old godson) and I was pleasantly surprised – I could hardly wait to find out who the cake robber was!

Detective Basia was born at Storyboat – a small animation studio in Kraków. First came the animated series: the pilot episode tells the story of the day Basia gets her detective glasses from grandpa. The channel also has short episodes – sometimes Basia runs her own stream, sometimes she helps dad in the workshop.
The books bring the same characters to paper – with illustrations that look like stills from the film.
